The Reel to Real Country Band is a five-man unit that plays public, private and corporate parties, fairs and concerts in the tri-state area. The group's progressive country approach gives a nod to the classics and modern favorites, as well as including plenty of current hits.

Over the past twenty-five years, the band has proven itself a crowd pleaser in a variety of musical situations. In venues that range from Country-Western dances to corporate affairs to the concert stage, they are a consistent attraction. Artists such as Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Johnny Paycheck, George Strait, Ray Price and Hank Williams, Sr. have contributed much to the direction of the music. From these influences, Reel to Real has forged an upbeat country style all its own.

Jimmy Fry, Jim Fry Jr. and Bill Schibel create an ear-catching harmony blend that is featured throughout their music. Instrumentally, the group consists of guitars, pedal steel, bass and drums. Their vocal and instrumental versatility enable R2R to tunefully cover other artist’s music as well as giving fullness and polish to their own original songs.

If R2R had to be summed up in one word, it would be VARIETY. A typical show takes listeners on a musical trip from today’s country to smooth classic ballads to Oldies from the 50’s thru the 80’s and even some Classic and Southern Rock! Their music appeals to young folks, old-time country fans and makes country converts of everyone else. Whether people come out to listen or to dance, there's something for every musical taste with Reel to Real !

Jimmy Fry, Sr. is the founder and original member of the band. He lives to sing country music and also plays a solid rhythm guitar. He’s continually searching for music that reaches out to and involves listeners. His wide experience in entertaining people (since the 1960’s) with country and oldies sets the tone of the band’s music. His singing voice and outgoing stage persona create a good-time atmosphere wherever the band plays.
Performing professionally for seventeen years, his son, Jimmy Fry, Jr. sings lead and harmony and plays lead guitar. He brings a vision of today’s country to the music, while retaining a respect for classic country roots. His enthusiasm and love for the music are an essential part of R2R’s appeal.

Bill Schibel contributes lead and harmony vocals and plays bass. An alumnus of The Sage Band, he is as comfortable singing today’s country as he is belting out a classic country number. During his near-thirty years in playing music, he has acquired the ability to read what an audience wants to hear and to tailor each show accordingly. This contributes to making R2R a consistent crowd pleaser wherever they perform.

Frank Kramer draws on twenty-seven years of experience playing drums in country and rock music. This background forms a solid rhythmic foundation for the R2R’s sound and contributes to the dance-ability associated with the band's music.
Playing the Pedal Steel, Gordon Wells is the band’s newest member. He has wide experience in country music, most notably a fifteen year stint with the Eagle Creek Band. His taste in music is pure country and he likes nothing better than to make music with musicians who love it as much as he does.
